Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War is less than a year away with filming set to already have begun.
One of the film’s co-screenwriters Stephen McFeely has revealed what fans should expect from Josh Brolin’s Thanos in Avengers Infinity War.
When talking in a Doctor Strange Blu-ray special feature clip the writer teased the villain’s evil plan. He said: “His goal is to re-balance the universe as he sees it. So when he figures out that the Infinity Stones could do this for him at the snap of a finger, that becomes his main goal.” Many Marvel fans who may have read the comics will know what “re-balance the universe” refers to. In the comics, Thanos decides to kill off half the universe to impress Death, who has taken the form of a woman.
At this stage it’s likely that Cate Blanchett’s Hela who is known as the goddess of death and is also the main villain in the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok – will step into this role.
Last week Marvel Studios released an amazing behind-the-scenes featurette which featured Robert Downey Jr, Tom Holland and Chris Pratt getting ready to shoot a scene together in role as their Marvel characters.
Marvel boss Kevin Feige revealed that Thanos will cause a lot of destruction and maybe even kill off a few big named characters.
He also revealed: “Thanos shows us why he is the biggest, the best, the baddest villain we have ever had. And the most frightening villain the Avengers have ever faced.”
