2018 could potentially be a big year for both the X-Men Universe and X-Men fans as 20th Century Fox look set to release three films, X-Men: The New Mutants, Deadpool 2 and X-Men: Dark Phoenix.
With 20th Century Fox in the early stages of X-Men: Dark Pheonix, there has been a lot of new circulating the film’s plot, casting and more with the most latest news making the headlines stating that some of the leading stars from X-Men: Apocalypse such as Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Michael Fassbender (Magneto) and James McAvoy (Professor Xavier) and Nicholas Hoult (Beast) are all set to return for Dark Phoenix including Nicholas Hoult.
It has also been made official that Simon Kinberg who has been part of the X-Men franchise since 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand is going to be directing the film.
20th Century Fox really look determined to create and develop a cinematic universe which they believe fans will enjoy and it looks as though the studio is getting all the star power it can to keep the X-Men Universe going with the studio also looking to cast Jessica Chastain as the villain in X-Men: Dark Phoenix.
Hitch Parker who is Producer for X-Men: Dark Phoenix said earlier this year: “Our hope and expectation is to try and do something that feels different, that takes the audience into a different tone and a different sense of cinematic style that is appropriately suited to the story which we are telling”.
So it does look like 2018 is set to be an exciting year for both the X-Men franchise & X-Men fans.
