Well it looks like Marvel fans can be happy because it has been confirmed that Sony’s Venom, Black Cat & Silver Sable films are all set to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The news comes after Filmstarts held an interview with Sony Pictures’ Amy Pascal who said that the Venom, Silver Sable & Black Cat films will be set in the same universe as Spider-Man: Homecoming. She stated:
“Well, those movies will all take place in the world that we’re now creating for Peter Parker,” Pascal said while sitting beside Feige. “They’ll all be adjuncts to it. They may be different locations, but it will still all be in the same world. They will all be connected to each other as well.”
When asked about the possibility of Tom Holland showing up in those films, she replied saying:
“There’s a chance. There’s always a chance. I think one of the things that Kevin has done with Marvel that’s so brilliant is bringing the fans along and making each movie seem like a chapter in a book that you have to read in order to go forward, and I think the investment that the fans get to feel in being part of a larger story and understanding what’s happening is something that I know Sony would want to emulate.”
So it looks like Marvel fans have nothing to worry about Spider-Man as it seems that the character is now in good hands with both Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures working together to give fans the Spider-Man films which they deserve.
I personally think that Sony Pictures have made a great move in allowing these films to be part of the bigger Marvel Cinematic Universe and with their collaboration to Marvel Studios, it seems like Marvel fans could be seeing the Spider-Man side of the universe grow and expand alongside the main Avengers and Guardians Of The Galaxy side as well.
But it looks like we could now finally see Tom Holland’s Spider-Man go face to face with Tom Harry’s Venom after all.
