Walt Disney have just agreed a deal to buy 21st Century Fox’s entertainment assests and this is great news for fans of Marvel Studios’ Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The deal which is set to finally reuntie Marvel’s X-Men, Fantastic Four, Deadpool, Silver Surfer, and other various character with their counterparts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is said to be a staggering $52.4 Billion.
The deal is great news for Marvel fans as it means that we will finally be able to see the X-Men and Fantastic Four appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe alongside the Avengers and Guardians Of The Galaxy.
Although Disney may now have full ownership of the Marvel characters, they also now own franchises such as Avatar, Alien, and other properties which 21st Century Fox owned.
The company said: “Disney will be able to offer more ways than ever before to bring kids and families the world and all that is in it.”
James Cameron who is the director of the Avatar films has plans to make four more Avatar films with the first coming to cinemas in 2020.
